Redesigning plastic shelled packaging to a cartonboard alternative to be more sustainable
We were asked by PCL Air Technology to redesign their pistol grip blowgun handles in various sizes, going from a plastic shelled case with a printed backing card to a fully carton board alternative, making more of their packaging range more sustainable and help speed up the packing process.
What we designed was a variety of options to suit their various blowgun sizes, this is glued and packed flat so when the packaging is shipped or in storage takes up less space than a box of plastic shells, it is quicker to pack the product and offers the same if not better protection to the product as there is rigid board around the key elements of the product.
